Chest of drawers design

Chests of drawers, drawn with every drawer.

Choose the number of drawers and their heights; front, sides, back and bottom fit together with workshop allowances. Runner and handle holes place themselves and the mirror fixing goes into the top panel.

What you get for chests of drawers

  • Drawer stack

Bottom, middle and top gaps in one place; change a drawer height and the fronts re-arrange themselves.

  • Runner holes

Two-sided patterns for standard and telescopic runners; choose the drawer-side depth and the runner length follows.

  • Handle holes

Single hole, 16 mm or multiples of 32 mm; drilled symmetric to the front, with a warning if it does not fit.

  • Box joints

Front joined with cam fittings and dowels, back with screws; the bottom groove runs the full length of the drawer side.

Where chests of drawers go wrong

The challenge is repetition: six drawers, twelve runners, twenty-four handle holes. One wrong allowance means every drawer is cut with the same mistake.

Viziodex derives every drawer from the same rule. Identical parts share one cut-list line with their quantity and one drilling sheet; mirrored left and right sides stay separate because their holes are symmetric.

Frequently asked questions.

Questions

Does it place the drawer runner holes automatically?

Yes. Depending on the runner type, separate hole patterns are produced for the carcass and the drawer side, and written to the drilling plan and CNC file at the same time.

Can I change the handle hole spacing?

Yes. Pick a single hole, 16 mm or a multiple of 32 mm, or type your own; if the handle does not fit the front, export stops and tells you why.

Can I add a mirror on top?

Yes. The mirror fixing is machined into the top panel and shown on the assembly diagram.
